I know that cold pressed, extra virgin avocado oil IS healthier than ANY other oil. Quick research shows it is the highest in heart healthy mono-unsaturated fat, and contains the powerful plant sterolins that make the avocado the heathiest fruit.
I want the healthiest oil for my family. It is perfectly acceptable for a company to appeal to me for that (as long as its TRUE!)

It's not said openly, and it's certainly not something the ad execs would cop to. It's a subtle suggestion. "You want to give your loved ones healthy food don't you? (other oil is less healthy than this are you some sort of monster)".

Most adverts leverage this in some way, but the wording of this one made it particularly terrible, to me.

Aren't you sure you're not reading a little bit too much into that?
I mean, yes "despicable" applies to most advertising and marketing campaigns on this planet, but saying "don't you want to give something good" doesn't necesseraly mean "everything else you give is bad", does it?

Words fail me. I thought *our* textbooks were horrendous …
