To the east of Awano High School, in a neighbourhood of both houses and fields, stands the Giant Nutmeg-yew of Awano.
At the base of the nutmeg-yew is a small shrine to Inari, god of harvests. It seems to be in good nick, so I guess this tree and that shrine are still well taken care of.
