I entered this video in the AnimeNorth 2004 AMV competition, and everyone hated it. I guess it’s not that good. Anyway, behold what I used to do with my free time!
In university, I was an avid watcher of anime. If it was reasonably popular, and it came out between 1996 and 2003, I’ve at least heard of it, if I haven’t watched it. But I probably have watched it. 🙂
At any rate, there was a period when my doormate in res and I got into making anime music videos. It was a big thing at the time. I never got very good at making them… the more advanced techniques were beyond my willingness to learn — it wasn’t intuitive to me immediately, so I didn’t bother. So I never made anything as awesome as Euphoria (which is, incidentally, the way I learned of the magic of Imogen Heap, but I digress).
Still, I wasn’t utter shite. This one at the top of the post won me Best of Show at CN Anime 2003 (I think it was 2003…) in their AMV competition. I’ll post my works over the next couple days, just so they can be seen again.

There are trees! Giant ones! All over Japan! There were plenty in Toyama, and I wanted to take pictures of them all and learn about their lives, but I ran out of time. 🙁
Now that I live in Tochigi, though, I fully intend to document them all. ALL OF THEM. 😀
You can read more at the The Giant Trees of Tochigi Project page.
